Lateral Entry to MBBS for BSc
(Nursing), BPT, BHMS and BAMS graduates is a myth and not a truth. However,
there are certain universities in Europe, that after carefully examining the
BSc (Nursing), BPT, BHMS and BAMS subjects and testimonials of aspirants do
accept lateral entry to MBBS into their universities. After the completion of
such lateral entry to MBBS degree from any foreign university, the BSc
(Nursing), BPT, BHMS and BAMS aspirants may face the risk of getting their
degree not recognized by Medical Council of lndia and universities of India
& abroad.
Now it is up to the BSc (Nursing),
BPT, BHMS and BAMS graduates whether they are in a position to take risk with
their time, career & money to pursue such Lateral Entry MBBS degree.
Many BSc (Nursing), BPT, BHMS and BAMS
graduates, without proper research may be planning to admit in abroad
universities to pursue lateral entry to MBBS. After coming back they may not be
allowed to appear for the Medical Council of India screening test conducted by
National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and hence will not get provisional or
permanent registration with Medical Council of India.

that before you go outside India to pursue lateral entry to MBBS course, apply
for an eligibility certificate at Medical Council of India. Once an eligibility
certificate is issued by Medical Council of India, the BSc (Nursing), BPT, BHMS
and BAMS aspirant becomes eligible to sit for screening test of Medical Council
of India conducted by National Board of Examinations – FMG Screening Test ".
